Every Qbit is a standard
9.75 ft x 19.5 ft x 10 ft high
(3m x 6m x 3m high) building unit with finished floor, walls and ceiling.
Each Qbit is 190 ft² (18 m²) of insulated, structurally sound floor area.
This floor area can be a single open space, or subdivided into multiple rooms.
SCALING UP AND DOWN IS A FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTION OF THE QBIT SYSTEM
The individual units are combined to create a customized assembly of spaces. Start with a single Qbit or two, and gradually add Qbits to accommodate a large or extended family. As times change, the home can be scaled up or down to make the Qbit home as efficient as necessary.
Qbits units are universal in scale and structure, so individual Qbits can be sold on the used Qbit market for other homes.
FLEXIBILITY IN FINISH AND DETAILS
Exterior finishes, roof systems, windows and doors are the magic of the Qbit system. A standard building block with hundreds of unique combinations.
The structural system even accommodates custom finishes, so the finished product can be as simple or elaborate as required.
STANDARD AND CUSTOMIZED ROOF
Roof options to fit any climate can be connected to enlarge the roof coverage area, and reduced as needed. Custom roofs can be installed as the Qbit is structured to support most standard and prefabricated roof construction techniques.
The roof can be removed, a second Qbit placed on top, and the roof section replaced on the upper storey - doubling the floor area covered by a single roof unit.
